THE community is invited to take along their family and friends, furry and non-furry, to celebrate a magnificent part of the Sapphire Coast on Youth Day, Tuesday, 16 June.

The inaugural Sapphire community beach walk, a joint initiative of Winklespruit Surf Lifesaving Club, Amanzimtoti SPCA and My Sapphire CommUnity, takes place on the magnificent stretch of beach between Winklespruit and Warner Beach.

This free event is in aid of Toti SPCA. Dogs are welcome and the SPCA will be on hand to provide information, water stations for the dogs en-route, and a veterinary nurse who will be on standby.

Cash donations or pet food will be gratefully received.

Walkers start from Winklespruit Surf Lifesaving Club anytime between 10am and 1pm, and walk to Baggies beach and back, about 4km.

Happy Drums will be drumming up a storm of entertainment all afternoon and the community is invited to unwind and enjoy the festive occasion at the after party.

Winklespruit Surf Lifesaving Club will provide food and drink, or take along your own picnic basket.
