Tough conditions take toll on RWFL Comrades contenders

Amanzimtoti Run Walk for Life had 12 entrants this year and six finishers on the day.

THE Comrades Marathon 2015 has come and gone and what a performance by South African athletes.

Gift Kelehe, winner of the men’s race really showed the rest of the field a clean pair of heels and Caroline Wortmann, the mother and full-time lecturer at Wits University, is surely an inspiration to all those working moms out there.

Amanzimtoti Run Walk for Life had 12 entrants this year and six finishers on the day. Considering the tough and hot conditions, this was always going to be a tough race to finish and to all of those who didn’t make it, you are all winners in members’ eyes. The club is sure all of them will be back next year, wiser and fitter and will get that finish under their belt.

  • Shaun Finn, 9.01.44,
  • Warren Gibson, 10.12.18,

  • Edmund Luiz 11.24.10,
  • Sure Herbst 11.24.30 and
