AFRICA Cares for Life is offering a Christian crisis counselling training programme, which takes place from Monday, 29 June to Friday, 3 July.
The content of the training covers the seven fundamentals of Christian crisis counselling: Speak the truth in love; be ministers not manipulators; everyone is sending out an SOS; the four qualities of an effective helper; the five communication skills; the six phases of a crisis and six steps to crisis intervention.
This course will enhance counselling techniques and equip one to understand people in crisis.
This course is accredited by the Council for Counsellors South Africa.
The venue is Lionsgate Bible Church, 24 Queens Terrace, Doonside. Training is between 9am and 1pm on each day. The trainer is Daniele Gradwell and the cost of the course is R800.
