Masterchef Roxi to judge pageant at Gathering

The event takes place at Hutchison Park on Saturday, 2 May.

CROWDS attending the Highland Gathering are in for a treat, as Masterchef SA season three winner, Roxi Wardman’s is one of the judges of the beauty pageant.

Hosted by Amanzimtoti Lions Club at Hutchison Park on Saturday, 2 May, the event also incorporates a Lifestyle Expo.

The pageant will see girls take to the ramp in three categories, Mini Miss Highland Gathering (three to six-years-old); Miss Junior Highland Gathering (seven to 12-years-old) and Miss Highland Gathering (13 to 18-years-old).

” I am cooking my way through life, spoonful by spoonful. I am a quirky, creative cook with a passion for leopard print,” said Roxi.

The family-orientated event has something for everyone. There will be a variety of stalls for shopoholics and food galore to keep the hunger pangs at bay. A combination of arena events, Scottish dancers and bagpipers will keep everyone entertained well into the afternoon.

The Lifestyle Expo is a one-stop shopping experience and will have something for everyone. A number of high profile brands have already signed on, which include BMW Ryder Motorrad, ATKV Natalia, Complete Flooring, Pentravel Galleria

Visitors can also find showstopper deals at the Makro marquee. Shoppers will also receive goodie bags, Makro vouchers and lots more.

The Lifestyle Expo will also offer a food court area, exciting kids area and a demo arena.

Tickets for the Gathering and Lifestyle Expo cost R40 for adults; R20 for pensioners and scholars; children U12 pay R10 and those U5 enter for free.
