Bait up for annual angling contest

IT’S that time of the year again when the Winkle Fishing Ski Club will host its annual competition. Once again a range of awesome prizes has been donated by the ever-loyal sponsors which are up for grabs for all registered fishermen.
These prizes include holiday trips both local and across border, a fishing ski, fishing tackle and many other fantastic items.
The competition takes place from Winkle Lifesaving Club, with the briefing and registration on 17 April from 5.30pm, and the competition taking place on 18 April.
One of the drawcards of the Winkle competition is the fact that every year’s format is slightly different as the club strives to maintain a high level of interest and excitement and this year promises to be no different. This year the competition is a one day affair so for those who struggle to get up early on two consecutive days for whatever reason, this will suit you perfectly.
All hardened fishing ski anglers, those who have tried fishing ski angling and are ready to test their skills and those who have not been on the water for some time, now is your chance to get out there and have some fantastic fun and maybe walk away with one of the great prizes on offer. Non-anglers can go down and enjoy a day on the beach under the safe supervision of the Winklespruit Lifesaving Club. There will be various refreshments, food and live music to make this another memorable occasion.
