THE body of a woman was found in Athlone Park on Sunday, 5 April.
“The decomposed body of a white woman was found hanging in bushes in Athlone Park,” confirmed Toti SAPS communications officer, Capt Charlene van der Spuy.
It was reported on social media that the body was in an advanced state of decomposition. The woman was wearing jeans, a pink short-sleeved T-Shirt, a yellow belt and no shoes.
Van der Spuy confirmed the body was not that of Lorraine Bothma, who went missing last week and is still being sought.
