Mystery muso to jam at Gathering

THE Highland Gathering  will boast a special mystery guest musician.

Where can we see you perform?

Up until now music has purely been a hobby for me, playing for friends and family. I have only recently decided to take it further and break onto the scene. I’ll be testing the waters in the next couple months, so stay tuned!

When did you first start singing?

I’ve always been captivated by and passionate about music and have been playing guitar casually for a few years. I started mixing in some voice probably about two years back.

Your musical inspirations?

I have many, but to list a few – Dave Matthews, Rory Eliot (Plush), Anthony Kiedis (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Seether and aKING.

What kind of music do you listen to today?

I listen to a bit of everything but I’m a rock kind of guy through and through. I currently enjoy the more chilled stuff along the lines of acoustic and alternative rock.

What embarrassing songs might I find on your playlist?

There are a couple. I can’t expose myself completely but if you scroll through my library you might find artists such as Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.

Where would you most like to perform?

The coolest festival I’ve been to would have to be Oppikoppi and to play there one day would be a dream come true!

Who do you most want to open for?

I think I’d have the most fun opening for Seether. They put on a great show and to be part of it would be great!

What instruments do you play?

I play acoustic and electric guitar and sing.

If you could dabble in another genre of music, what would it be?

I’ve always wanted to try my hand at jazz, specifically playing saxophone.

What genre of music can’t you stand to listen to?

I’m yet to find a genre I can’t stand to listen to, I just have my preferences when it comes to what I would rather listen to.
