Robbers pose as police

They kicked down a door to a residence.

TOTI police are investigating a house robbery which occurred in the Enkwali Esiqhingini area in the early hours of Monday, 23 March.

“The victim was woken up by a knock on the door at about 1.45am. Someone said ‘open the door, we are from the police’. Before he could react, the door was kicked open and two men entered armed with firearms, demanding cash,” said Toti SAPS communications officer, Capt Charlene van der Spuy.

They took cash and two cell phones. They demanded the victim open a tuckshop, which is on the same property, but the keys were not available.

The men fled in a white sedan. Items valued at R2,050 were taken.
