SPCA shop to open in Scottburgh

It is an opportunity for animal lovers to get involved.

AMANZIMTOTI SPCA will open a thrift shop in Scottburgh at the beginning of April.

“We have secured a little shop on the main road in the Southern Cross Centre. Our thrift shop at the SPCA premises in Athlone Park has earned us some valuable and at times lifesaving income. With hard work done by past and present staff members and volunteers, the shop has thrived,” said PRO, Michelle Hannan.

The animal welfare organisation’s jurisdiction extends from the Umlaas Canal to Hibberdene and 35km inland. “We are sure there are many more supporters who would like to get involved and help but don’t know how to. This is the perfect opportunity to do so.”

“We are looking for donations of goods we can sell in the shop as well as shelving and furniture to help set-up the shop.” Volunteers who would like to help out can call 031-904-2424/5 or email info@spcatoti.co.za .
A collection point for donations to be dropped off is also needed, for donors who cannot get to the shop.

The location of the shop is Southern Cross Centre, Shop No 17 just off Arbuthnot Street.
