Break-in and cash theft at Winklespruit SLC

We have an idea who you are and we will stop at nothing to bring you to book.

EDITOR – An open letter to the scumbag who broke into Winklespruit Lifesaving Club on Monday night, 9 March.

Dear Scumbag

We are not sure that you realise what you have achieved by making the effort to break into the Winklespruit Lifesaving Club and steal our hard-earned fundraising cash that was desperately needed for the development of incumbent nippers and juniors. The cash you stole was to be used to ensure that our younger members are upskilled and trained to be able to rescue, treat and revive drowning victims should things not go so well with the beach-going public in the surf or on the beach.

We understand that the stolen cash was needed for you to buy drugs to sustain your sorry habit and we really feel for you. With this understanding, we do hope that one day, if you either suffer a drowning situation or a heart attack on the beach, that due to your demand for cash to support your disgusting habit, when you look in the eyes of your rescuer, you are comfortable that they had sufficient money to provide the training necessary to keep you alive.

If perhaps you find that the person trying to keep you alive is lacking some skills, we hope you realise that the lack may somehow be linked to you stealing the funds that were needed to upskill your rescuer.

We have an idea who you are and we will stop at nothing to bring you to book.

Enjoy your illusion while you can.
