Motorist shaken after unprovoked attack

The incident has been reported to police.

A WOMAN was left badly shaken after an unprovoked attack in Kingsway, Warner Beach on Monday, 9 March at about 9am.

The woman who lives in Seadoone does not wish to be named for fear of victimisation. The incident occurred when she attempted to park in a parking bay along Kingsway.

“I wanted to draw money at an ATM, so I wanted to park as close as possible. As I pulled in, a man stood there talking on his cellphone. I politely asked to him to move over, but he started swearing at me and shouted, ‘why I wanted to park there’ and ‘run me over’ and that I should go back to England.”

After eventually parking, she made her withdrawal, but on her return the man pounced on her with verbal and physical abuse. “He pushed me, grabbed my car door and told me ‘I will get you’. He was arrogant, aggressive and slammed the car door against my leg. I managed to get in and drive off,” said the upset woman.

She described her attacker as well-dressed and in his 30s. He was a black man, light in complexion, well-built and of average height.

The occupants of a Toti SPCA vehicle driving past, who witnessed the incident, came to her assistance, which she is thankful for. She has reported the incident at Toti police station.
