Help welfare’s fundraising tree grow

Attend an open day on Friday, 20 February.

KINGSBURGH Child and Family Welfare Society encourages businesses and the community at large to help raise R70,000 – R1,000 for every year of its 70 years of existence via its ‘Kingsburgh Welfare money tree’ fundraising initiative.

A large cardboard tree made by pupils of Under the Tree Pre-school in Illovo Beach now takes pride of place at the organisation’s office in Warner Beach. All that is needed now is commitment from donors to ‘grow the leaves on the tree’. As donations come in, they will be added as leaves to the tree.

To learn more about welfare’s services and the vital role it plays in the community, attend an open day at its offices at 2 Hall Road, Warner Beach (next to Kingsburgh library) on Friday, 20 February between 8.30am and 4pm.

Refreshments will be served during the day.
