POLICE recovered two bodies in the area yesterday, one on Illovo beach early in the morning, and a second body in Lower Illovo, in the vicinity of the steel bridge.
“Two bodies were found at Amanzimtoti in two different places. It is believed they were assaulted and shot somewhere else and their bodies dumped in Amanzimtoti. The motive for the killings are unknown,” said Major Thulani Zwane of the KZN police media centre.
He said in relation in to the second body being recovered, a case of murder was opened at Toti SAPS. “The victim had sustained gunshot wounds to the head. The body has not been identified as yet. The motive for the killing is unknown and no arrests have been made.”
