THE tea garden at Amazimtoti Bird Park is open every Wednesday, from 9am to noon.
Go along and enjoy scones with cream and jam, tea and coffee. Fruit juice and crisps are available for children. All funds raised go to Amanzimtoti Trauma Unit (ATU). A security guard is permanently stationed at the park.
“We have been able to buy a lawn mower for the ATU and have assisted in various garden projects with the funds from the tea garden within the four months that we have been running,” said Lynette Rowe.
An ornithologist has committed to being available every week for guided bird spotting walks and to impart his extensive knowledge to the patrons who might be interested.
