A 29-year-old man wanted in connection with armed robbery, was arrested in Lovu, near KwaMakhutha by Umlazi Crime Intelligence Unit, after they followed up on information on his whereabouts on Wednesday, 28 January.
“The man is believed to be a mastermind of gang that is allegedly involved in robbing vehicles delivering cigarettes in KwaDabeka and surroundings. He will be joining two other suspects who are in custody for the same case. He might be linked to other similar robberies that were reported in other areas,” said Major Thulani Zwane of the KZN police media centre.
Provincial police commissioner, Lt Gen Mmamonnye Ngobeni commended police for the arrests.
