Hospice needs your help

We need to maintain our vehicles, as we cannot let our nursing staff get stuck on the roads.

With January being such a long month financely, Khanya Hospice shops are desperate for either cash donations, or clothes, brick-a-brac, cutlery, crockery, furniture, garden tools, garden furniture and equipment, sport and gym equipment or whatever you have to give away.

Hospice does not get any government subsidy and puts donated items up for sale in its shops and the money helps sustain the free palliative nursing care that it offers and the free support to the family of patients.

“Our nursing staff go into the rural areas and have to walk two to three kilometres, as there are no roads,” said Khanya Hospice CEO, Neil McDonald.

“We need to maintain our vehicles, as we cannot let our nursing staff get stuck on the roads.

Please think of Hospice if and when you clean and clear your cupboards or move house and home, or scale down and donate to Hospice.”

Anyone wanting to make a donation to Hospice can call 039-973-1783/0277 or email manager@khanyahospice.org.za.
