Paraffin tanker trailer overturns, closes N2

The contents of a paraffin tanker that was involved in an accident earlier this afternoon, (Sunday, 11 January) is still being decanted by fire officials on the southbound lane of the N2 opposite Inyoni Road.

Officials expect the operation in which the paraffin is being transferred to another tanker, to take several hours.

The closure of the N2 southbound opposite the Inyoni-Kingsway junction, took place when the tanker and a car collided at about 4.30pm.

No-one was injured in the crash.

Kingsway southbound from Moss Kolnick is gridlocked and motorists are urged to exercise patience and caution.
