Light up Hospice trees in memory of lost cancer loved ones

Bulbs cost R30 each and can be purchased from any Hospice shop or at the Hospice House.

Khanya Hospice is once again selling light bulbs in memory of loved ones who have lost their battle to cancer or are battling it, to raise funds during the festive season.

“As the year draws to an end, our thoughts turn to our loved ones who have died, or to those who are very ill and unlikely to see through another year,” said Khanya Hospice CEO, Neil McDonald.

The trees in the gardens of Khanya Hospice will be lit from Monday, 8 December, reminding us that Christmas will soon be here. “This is a happy and joyous time for many of us, which we will hopefully celebrate with our families. At the same time, however we need to remember those who are no longer with us and for their grieving relatives.”

These lights can be in memory of a family member, friend, for peace and safety, for a beloved pet, or just to give thanks for the joy of being alive.
