A BIKER was fortunate to escape with his life after a bakkie collided with him on the R603 by the Tecoma street intersection on Sunday evening, 23 November.
“A report from the scene was that the biker was travelling west, up the R603 when the 4×4 collided into the rear of the bike. Netcare 911 paramedics found the crumpled remains of the motorbike trapped under the bakkie in the middle of the roadway. The biker was lying several metres away,” said Netcare 911 media liaison, Chris Botha.
After medics stabilised the injured man they transported him to a local hospital for the care that he required.
