SPCA needs to reconsider its priorities

They must be aware how much we love our animals and should have given those two at least a couple of days, to see if they would be adopted or not.

EDITOR – I can quite understand why the woman is so upset about her pets being put down so quickly.

I feel disgusted that an organisation like the SPCA can act in such a fashion, even though they seem to think they have some excuses.

They must be aware how much we love our animals and should have given those two at least a couple of days, to see if they would be adopted or not. And is an eight-month-old cat really old?

I’ve admired and supported the SPCA for many years, but (being a pensioner) am only able now to donate clothes and goods for the second hand shop. I don’t know if I should continue to do so, as I’m really upset and disappointed in this action. Ms Girling needs to reappraise her priorities and there should be more than one person to take responsibility for euthanasia.

I sincerely hope this occurrence has made them think.
