NOMINATIONS are now open for the eThekwini Living Legends Awards for 2015.
The awards recognise individuals who have positively contributed to the well-being and development of society through their involvement in their respective communities.
Nominations can be made in the the following categories: Arts and culture, academic, business, hospitality and tourism, sports, human rights, music and entertainment, science and technology, media and environment.
The rules for nominations are:
- The nominee must be a past or current resident of eThekwini Municipality.
- No nomination will be considered without an accompanying biography.
- No council employee may be nominated.
- Self-nominations will not be considered.
- A person may be nominated in only one category per submission.
- The panel’s decision is final.
- Should your nomination not appear on the final list, consider it unsuccessful.
“eThekwini Living Legends is not only an event to honour citizens who have contributed significantly within the municipality, but has evolved into a cause to encourage and create awareness for philanthropy and goodwill,” said Mayor James Nxumalo.
