Time runs out for schools art contest entries

The theme is 'circus circus'.

BUDDING young artists have a few more days to put paint to paper to enter the Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare Society’s schools art competition.
The competition which is in its 20th year saw more than a 1,000 entries flood in, in the 2013 contest.

It will be held at the Galleria Mall and the theme is ‘circus circus’. Art will be collected from schools on Thursday, 2 October, however, if this is not possible, it can be delivered to the welfare offices in Hall Road, Warner Beach, or alternatively collected in the week of 13 October. “Art will be on display at the mall from 20 to 27 October,” said convenor, Oriel Andrews.

The judging of all art is done by independent judges and not by members of child welfare. The prizegiving will be held on Saturday, 25 October at noon at the Galleria.
