Hospice shops need donations

Please think of Hospice when you clean your house.

Khanya Hospice shops desperately need donations of clothes, bric-a-brac, cutlery, crockery, furniture, garden tools, garden furniture and equipment, sport and gym equipment and whatever you have to give away.

“Hospice does not get a government subsidy and we put the donated items up for sale in one of our three Hospice shops and the money generated by the shops helps sustain the free palliative nursing care that Hospice offers and the free support to the family of the patients,” said CEO, Neil Mcdonald.

“Our nursing staff go into the rural areas and have to walk two to three kilometres as there are no roads. We need to maintain our vehicles, as we cannot let our nursing staff get stuck on the roads. Please think of Hospice if and when you clean and clear your cupboards, or move house and home or scale down.”

Anyone wanting to make a donation to Hospice can call 039-973-0277/1783 or email manager@khanyahospice.org.za.
