Author to share her insights with artists

THE Upper South Coast Art Association (USCAA) will hold its monthly meeting in the activities room at Amanzimtoti library on Saturday, 16 August.

The meeting will start at 1.15pm and continue to 4pm.

The talk will be given by Barbara Siedle on her new book that has just been published. Members are urged to attend and see what tips you can pick up for publishing a book and promoting your pictures.

The afternoon session will be preceded by the morning session of drawing, which begins at 9.15am and ends at about noon when the majority of people go off to the rugby club to enjoy lunch. This session is free but you are required to take along quite a number of items which you can see on the ‘Upper South Coast Art Association’ webpage. Some of the items include paper, containers of water, inks in three primary colours, a brush taped to a stick about 12 inches long and three pairs of shoes, preferably those with a bit of character.

It sounds a promising exercise so USCAA hopes to see everyone on Saturday.
