Biker, pedestrian critical after N2 crash

Netcare 911 paramedics arrived found the biker lying in the gutter in the centre median

A biker and a pedestrian were critically injured in an accident on the N2 north in Winklespruit on Saturday evening, 9 August at about 6.30pm.
It is believed the rider was on his way to work when he collided with a homeless man who was running across the highway.

 
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived found the biker lying in the gutter in the centre median, the crumpled remains of his bike lying several hundred metres north of him. The critically wounded pedestrian was found about two hundred metres south of the biker.

 

Paramedics stabilised both injured men on scene and after they were immobilised on trauma boards, transported them to various hospitals under the care of advanced life support paramedics.
