AMANZIMTOTI SAPS secured several convictions in July.
Housebreaking and theft:
Lindo Mojo Khuzwayo (21) was sentenced to three years imprisonment; in a separate case, Nkosinathi Manelisi Mnyanda (26) and Philani Siphumelele (25) were both fined R5,000 or one year’s imprisonment and Sihle Cedrick Mkhize (22) was sentenced to one year of imprisonment, which was suspended for three years.
Shoplifting:
Ashley Mundlall (24) was fined R2,000 or six months’ imprisonment and Nokwanda Xulu (21) was fined R4,000 or one year of imprisonment.
General theft and housebreaking and theft:
A 17-year-old boy was sentenced for two separate cases, general theft and housebreaking and theft. He was fined R4,000 or 18 months’ imprisonment, with each sentence suspended for five years.
