Musos to jam for SPCA’s benefit

Listen to good music and at the same time support the SPCA.

IT will be a double bill of entertainment when musos, Krystle Temmerman and lead singer of Manuvah to Land, Jason Graham take to stage at Illovo Africa Lodge on Friday, 8 August, to raise funds for Amanzimtoti SPCA.

With a voice that never fails to get people on their feet, Krystle T is fast becoming one of Durban’s favourite performers. With a quirky, likeable personality and a vocal range that enables her to sing most genres, Krystle is at home on any stage.

Manuvah to Land has an international fusion rock/reggae flavour to its music, which is uplifting and positive with enough energy to get a little ‘manuvah groova’ in your body.

“The band will be opening for Jeremy Loops on the same evening, but Jason as well as Krystle have kindly given up their evening in aid of our fundraiser. They will be playing acoustic sets for the evening as well as sing a duet. Jason will leave after his set, to make his gig for Jeremy Loops. Krystle will take to stage to entertain guests, after a few lucky draws. How amazing that these two fantastic artists have given up their time, even though they have other commitments, to come together in aid of the SPCA,” said organiser, Bianca Bogaard.

There will be a curry buffet at R65 per person and the bar will be open. Part of the proceeds from the buffet and bar will be donated to the SPCA.

The evening kicks off at 6.30pm for 7pm. Entry fee is puppy or kitten food, animal toys or blankets. Children are welcome and there will be mini hotdogs for them at no charge. However, a donation tin will be available for their contribution, ‘to give back to the community’.

There will be spot prizes and raffles to be won. If people, don’t want to buy tickets for the buffet, they can go along for the music.
