Solidarity Helping Hand’s Toti branch, in conjunction with the ATKV Natalia Holiday Resort, participated in the 67-minute Mandela Day with a do-good project on Friday, 18 July. “With this project, we took 10 underprivileged children from the Winkelspruit Caravan Park to the holiday resort and treated them as part of celebrating Mandela Day,” said branch chairman, Andre van Heerden.
“The children were entertained with games and mini-golf by the resort staff, and they also enjoyed a delicious lunch.”
At this event Natalia’s resort manager, Llewellyn Abdol said the ATKV wanted to make the children feel special, so that they would know the community cared for them.
