Minaars bid farewell

The couple handed over the reigns to Carol Cross last month.

A packed hall showed their appreciation to Roy and Rosemary Minnaar for their many years of leadership at the Haven, when the couple was honoured at a farewell function at the Dutch Reformed Church hall on Tuesday morning, 8 July.

Roy’s late wife, Rhona started the Haven 29 years ago and when she died in 2008, he took over, with support from Rose.

The couple handed over the reigns to Carol Cross last month.

“I’ve handed over the leadership, but I’ll still be around,” said Roy at the farewell function.

On Tuesday, 15 July the Haven welcomes Shaun Beru as its guest speaker.

Shaun is involved in all aspects of ministry, local and international.

He will speak on adoption as sons of God. Knowing who we are is our greatest advantage. Do not miss this exciting time.

The Haven meets every Tuesday morning in the Dutch Reformed Church hall, corner Frost Street and Dan Pienaar Drive at 9.30am.
