Driver did not stop, but drove on to Toti police station.

A TOTI woman, Juanita Swindon was lucky to escape unharmed after a rock was thrown at her car on the N2, near Higginson Highway on Wednesday evening, 18 June.

Swindon was driving to Toti at about 6.15pm, when the rock was hurled at her Peugeot. The impact created a large hole on the passenger side of the windscreen, struck the dashboard and front passenger seat. Both the dashboard and seat have to be replaced, with damages estimated at about R35,000.

“I was shocked, there was glass everywhere, but I carried on driving.” Only when she stopped at Toti police station, did she break down in tears. “The police were amazing. When I got out of the car, a woman put her arms around me.”
