MOP open day to bring business closer

To share the mutual benefits of a partnership which ignites ubuntu spirit.

MOTHER of Peace (MOP) in Lower Illovo is going full steam ahead to forge closer ties with corporate companies with an open day on Friday, 4 July.

“We have invited over 60 people from various companies and are hoping for a fair number of attendees,” said general manager, Iris Canham.

MOP, a non-profit organisation, is a cluster foster care community caring for children who are distressed, orphaned and vulnerable. Children are nurtured in a family home environment headed by a house mother and are supported physically, emotionally, mentally, socially and spiritually.

“It is a dynamic and growing organisation that aims to restore the fabric of our society torn by its ills in recreating a family environment where children can thrive. Furthermore, we have established a self-sustaining community that supports the growth and development of the future of our nation.”

The corporate open day aims to promote engagement with corporate social investors. “We would like to partner with change agents who believe in social investment and providing solutions to social challenges. There are many opportunities and benefits to social investment and we would like to share the mutual benefits of a partnership which ignites ubuntu spirit and promotes sustainability for a brighter future.”
