THE Lions Club of Kingsburgh marked World Environment Day on Thursday, 5 June by cleaning up and beautifying the grounds where the Strelitzia Hall once stood in Kingsway, Warner Beach.
“This has long been considered an eyesore by local residents and despite numerous appeals to municipal authorities, nothing has been done. Our efforts to date merely represent a
start to this project and there remains much to be done,” said Lion president, Pat Wilson.
