Lions’ winter woolies keep children warm

Toti youngsters in need are sporting new beanies and scarves, thanks to the generosity of the public.

Members of the Lions Club of Kingsburgh supplied the beanies and scarves to children’s homes and crèches.

We thank the generous public and friends, who rallied in response to our appeal for knitted or crocheted beanies and scarves,” Lion president, Pat Wilson. “The response was very encouraging and we were able to distribute 246 beanies and 158 scarves to children in need before Easter.

It is indeed heart warming to know that many children will be somewhat warmer this winter and we thank you.

The public is reminded of the Lions Club’s ‘Anything Warm Campaign’, which closes at the end of this May. “This is an appeal for any clothing, blankets or duvets, either new or used in good condition.
