Auxiliary ‘adopts’ Angels of Mercy

Angels of Mercy Care Centre offers advice and support to pregnant women and new mothers.

The St Winifred’s Methodist Church’s Women’s Auxillary (WA) will host two guest speakers at the church in Warner Beach on Thursday, 15 May.

Pat Bayley and retired forensic sister, Jean Gauldie will give a short presentation on the work of the Angels of Mercy organisation.

The Angels of Mercy Care Centre offers advice and support to pregnant women and new mothers. Volunteers visit new mothers at Wentworth Hospital and present them with gift bags and offer advice, support and care.

“We invite all Toti women to come and listen to these special women, who have seen the plight of teenage mothers and sexually active school girls and boys and are doing what they can to help them through these very troubled times in their lives,” said WA’s PRO, Veronica Irons. “Angels of Mercy is our district project for the year.”

The presentation begins at 2.30pm and tea will be served afterwards. For more information, contact Veronica on 082-736-3183.
