Third time unlucky for burglar.

A combined effort between security companies, Toti SAPS and Metro Police dog unit resulted in the arrest of a housebreaker on Tuesday morning, 6 May.

According to Community Crime Prevention Organisation operations manager, Leon Joone the thief attempted to break into a house in Cato Crescent at about 7am, was disturbed and he fled.

“He tried to break into a house in Glen Place and was also disturbed,” said Leon.

He then broke a window with a brick at a Dela Grant complex property and grabbed whatever he could reach through the window. He fled with a bag, shoes and clothing.

His description was circulated, which fitted the discription from the two previous attempted break-ins.
