Cultures are wired differently

EDITOR – In response to the letter ‘SA cultures are just different‘ in last week’s South Coast Sun. [admin’s note: click the green writing to read the letter]

Do I give Jeff Van Belkum a gold medal or at least try push him into a presidency role?

How come he is the only one of many that can see the difference that all cultures are certainly wired up differently?

In Deuteronomy 7:6 and 14:2, these scriptures clearly define one nation being different. I think we need to distance ourselves from human thinking to work out God’s thought pattern.

If He says it, and did it, and has not changed His selection from way back then, then we better believe it and most certainly don’t speak against His Word.

Nevertheless, just by observing different nations with the naked eye with common sense, says we are different in more ways than one. I personally believe all the onslaught, the continual abuse, killing, raping, threats, stealing and the like is what the Bible terms as ‘the time of Jacobs trouble’ (Jeremiah 30:6-7). Not Jacob Zuma, as many might equate this to (which is a parallel and probably a message to ponder on, and of course it is certainly not coincidental but in itself not scriptural either) but this onslaught will get even worse in the future until God’s people turn back to Him in fullness.

God will use the different nations as an instrument in His hands until His will is fulfilled. The Bible, Bible history and even backed up by archaeology, languages, DNA testing, and even pronounced in secular history states that the 12 tribes of Israel are scattered in the western nations of the earth.

They as one lot were different from the other nations.

These same and no other nation ever got into their ships and carried the gospel all over the world. These descendants originated from Jacob who had 12 sons (James 1:1). The Jews are only one tribe only from the tribe of Judah, but there are another 11, also chosen. We have been so indoctrinated with false teachings that need to be addressed and unlearnt to progress further.

We need to study the facts and stop tip-toeing around them just because it doesn’t fit in with the political climate of the day. How come David Mabuza of a different culture to Jeff Van Belkum recognises that there are great differences in other cultures? What does the Bible say about living separately? It is like questioning if God really mean’t what He said to the Israelites (12 tribes) “they must not intermarry with the other nations” or did ever He ever say “go ahead and make a new nation among all the nations by inter-marrying them”.This will definitely add on to “another culture”.

Overheard about ‘time’ from different cultures tells us a lot about how different we can be on one topic, and this is only one topic, how about on others.

Time is of the essence.

What is time?

The time is now.

Tell me when is tea time, lunch time and knock off time.
