A MAN was stabbed to death in the Toti CBD on Freedom Day, Sunday, 27 April.
“We can confirm an incident occurred at about 4.10am. The body of a 24-year-old man who had sustained a stab wound was found in Kingsway, near the taxi rank. Amanzimtoti police arrested a 30-year-old man for murder and he appeared in Durban Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 28 April,” said Col Jay Naicker of the KZN police media centre.
CCPO guards who were in the vicinity searched for the perpetrator after the incident. A short while later, he was found walking in Beach Road. The guards detained him and also found the suspected murder weapon on him.
Toti police were called and the man and the weapon were handed to police.
