‘Aunty Fifi’ will be remembered

Always the life and soul of the party.

Toti bade farewell to one of its longest-standing educators when Fiona Craig died on Friday, 18 April.

‘Aunty FiFi’, is how she was known by the thousands of young schoolchildren she looked after in over 20 years she ran the Warner Beach Junior Primary aftercare centre.

Fiona was born in Scotland in 1945. She met and married her husband, David and gave birth to two sons, Douglas and Andrew before moving to South Africa in 1973.

“My mom lived in Toti for 38 years,” said Andrew. “She was crazy and loud, always the life and soul of the party. Everywhere she went, she knew everyone and they always chatted to her.”

Fiona is survived by her husband, David, sons, Douglas and Andrew and grandchildren Chloe, Shannon, Miriam, Phillip and Simon.

Her memorial service is on Tuesday, 29 April at St Winifreds Methodist Church at 2.30pm.
