Rotary focuses on family health

Health awareness days for community.

THE community is encouraged to take advantage of Rotary family health days at the Sakithemba Halfway House in Lower Illovo, which started on Wednesday, 2 April and ends on Friday, 4 April.

The health days start at 9am and end at 4pm each day.

The Rotary Clubs of Amanzimtoti and Clairwood have partnered to host the health awareness campaign.

The services offered are blood pressure, blood sugar/diabetes testing; TB education, screening and testing; HIV/AIDS services including voluntary counselling and testing; BMI, nutrition and diet; family planning, cholesterol test and children’s vaccinations.MMC, family planning, cholesterol tests and children’s vaccinations.

The clubs have worked hard to spruce up Sakithemba, as it had been vandalised in the past year.
