Letting the cat out of the bag

I've asked a few people to come forward about this man and some of the information was absolutely disgusting.

EDITOR – We seem to have a certain individual in the Winklespruit/Illovo area who apparently takes it upon himself to remove other people’s property.

A domestic cat is someone’s ‘property’, so if you remove it without permission, that is theft. Who should know that better than him?

Feral cats, strays, lost or abandoned cats – any cat that irritates him or crosses his path, he decides to remove himself, which is fine, but don’t dump them all over the South Coast if there is an SPCA on your doorstep. Or be cruel to them.

I’ve asked a few people to come forward about this man and some of the information was absolutely disgusting.

Apparently he’s even trapped them in, if I understood correctly, in pipes, or drains, closes them up so they can’t get out, so they suffocate.

People around him see what he’s up to and by the sounds of things, he’s not too shy about it either so in other words he’s often ‘let the cat out the bag’.

I wonder how many people in and around the Winkle/Illovo area, near the old sugar mill, once had a cat that never returned?

  1. As an owner of 3 beautiful domestic cats, I am appalled at this man’s audacity and cruelty. They are such independent and wonderfull animals that I can not imagine anyone wanting to deliberately hurt them.
I feel that if you know who this person is,you should really report him and stop him from hurting/killing any more innocent animals!
This outrages me to such an extent that I feel I could take animal justice into my own hands!!!!!!!!

    Sincerely,
