Jona Vaughan thankful for roadside aid for resident

EDITOR – Every morning the residents of Jona Vaughan Home take a walk to the Amanzimtoti bird park to feed the ducks.

Unfortunately on Wednesday, 12 March, one of our residents slipped on some loose stones and fell and broke her ankle.

We wish to thank the many kind and helpful people who stopped to give assistance, two women in an SUV, a man from an insurance consultancy, a young man in a red shirt who gave first aid, staff from the bird park, the Amanzimtoti police and the ambulance paramedics.

You were all very gentle with Jenny, who was very upset. Your willingness to go out of your way to help is much appreciated.
