Eunice Linda has been running the Thandomunye Multi Purpose Centre, an NGO in A-Section, Illovo Township since 2010. Pensioners, children and families come to the centre for a nourishing meal a few times a week. “The reason I started this project is because I grew up in a very poor home, and I know what the people who come to the centre are experiencing,” said Eunice
The project has grown from feeding people in A-Section to B-Section. Some 260 people are fed at the centre.
Eunice, a businesswoman, runs the centre with her own funds. The Amanzimtoti Community Upliftment Project (Amcup) also helps with donations. “I would like to thank Amcup, El-Palma Bed and Breakfast and Diocese of Marianhill for all their help and support,” said Eunice.
A woman with a heart for giving, Eunice appeals to the community for help. Thandomunye Multi Purpose Centre is in need of chairs, food and clothing. The centre also need a shelter for children. Eunice appeals to any business who are able to donate a carport to please assist her.
