Biker trapped under car
A biker was trapped underneath a vehicle which collided with him on the Kingsway and Link Road junction on Sunday, 8 December.
Bystanders lifted the car to extricate him. He was stabilised and taken to hospital. Leon Jooste, who was the first to arrive at the scene said, “I arrived a few moments after the accident occurred. I am not too sure what transpired before then. When I saw the man underneath, we and other people on the scene jacked up the car and removed him. An unknown woman removed the backpack which was on the man’s back and drove off with it. When I confronted her, she said it was none of my business and said she would call the mother before driving off.”
The biker was stabilised and taken to hospital.
The registration plate of the vehicle was recorded and handed over to police. Investigations are underway.
