R60,000 target in sight for Jabulani

JABULANI Home for the Aged expects to reach its R60,000 target at the end of the week, which will fund the replacement of two drinking water tanks on the roof of the building.

Donations added to the kitty this week are: R1,500 from Leon Mortensen; R1,000 from Jenny and Gail; R1,000 from Mike Signs and R1,000 from Amanzimtoti Women's Institute. Amanzimtoti Bowling Club's contribution stands at R1,387,75. The Jabulani holiday raffle has raised R11,280.

The raffle closes on Friday, 25 October and the winner will be drawn at a function later in the day. “We will call the winner if they are able to come along, we will hand over the prize at the draw,” said fundraising co-ordinators, Errol and Sharon-Ann Theron.

“The chairman and executive committee of the Kingsburgh Welfare Organisation for the Aged (KWOFTA) thank the community for its generosity.”

Some R60,000 needed to be raised to replace three 30-year-old asbestos drinking water tanks on the roof with plastic jo-jo tanks.
