Holiday raffle swells water tank fund

The money was raised through the home’s holiday raffle. “We are delighted with the donations so far and appreciate the contributions,” said fundraising co-ordinators, Errol and Sharon-Ann Theron.

Some R60,000 has to be raised to replace three 30-year-old asbestos drinking water tanks on the roof with plastic jo-jo tanks.

Businesses and the public are urged to support. Any amount is welcome, but those making a donation of R1,000 and more will be listed on the adjacent barometer until the target is reached.
