Raffle fundraiser to help Faron-Mae

Buy a raffle ticket at the South Coast Marathon and stand a chance to win fantastic prizes, while helping a little girl in need.

Debbie Ellish of RWFL Toti will have a table set up at Hutchison Park on Sunday, 6 October with raffle tickets on sale at R10.

“All proceeds of the raffle will go to Faron-Mae Fisher, who suffers from Glycogen Storage Disease, type 0,” said Debbie.

The athletics club has been raising funds through pledges for the Mandela Marathon, Longest Day and 100 Miler events to raise funds for Faron.

Lizette Botha completed the 100 Miler (160km) in 23 hours, 16 minutes and 44 seconds on 21 September in specially marked kit to help raise over R9,000 to date.

They are doing an amazing job, it really is great,” said Faron-Mae’s mother, Paula. “Please support this Sunday by buying raffle tickets at the marathon. You can win awesome prizes including a day’s fishing trip at sea for one person with Ruffian Deep Sea Fishing Charters, Rocky Bay valued at R1,100.”
