Business forum plans for exciting year

The first meeting is on Monday, 22 February at Mills Bomb Shellhole in Elcock Road.

The Durban South Business Forum (DSBF) looks forward to an exciting year, loaded with opportunity for any business in various areas.

Throughout the Southern eThekwini area, there are many areas in which DSBF plans to have a positive impact.

One of its first initiatives, the Durban South Opportunity Centre, a joint venture with Amanzimtoti Community Upliftment Project (AMCUP) and Vincit Omnia Veritas Trust, opened its doors this week.

DSBF will have its monthly meetings throughout the year, normally on the third Monday of every month, unless otherwise announced. The first meeting is on Monday, 22 February at Mills Bomb Shellhole in Elcock Road.

“We will have the national chairperson of the Afrikaans Handels Instituut and head of Business Partners, Christo Botes address the meeting on various aspects of business success in these uncertain economic times,” said president, Aart Verrips.

“Everybody running a business, be it large or small, should benefit from attending this meeting.”

For the rest of the year, topics will be in sync with the national calendar. For example, on 27 February DSBF will participate in the national Shavathon, the meeting in April will celebrate Freedom Day, in May employers’ organisations and networking will be the topic and in June, the theme will be around National Youth Day.

Most importantly, DSBF will have its annual golf day in July to raise funds for a charity organisation.

People are encouraged to visit the DSBF Facebook page for more details and announcements, or contact PRO, Carine Rix on 083-440-3537.
