10 injured in N2 collision

The cause of the accident will be investigated by SAPS.

Ten people sustained various injuries when a taxi and a car collided on the N2 north near Umgababa on Saturday morning, 1 July.

“Paramedics were called to the scene at about 11.20am to find that a taxi and car had collided,” said Rescue Care operations director, Garrith Jamieson.

The injuries ranged from minor to moderate. More ambulances were called to assist.

Once all of the injured had been stabilised on scene, they were transported to various Durban hospitals.

At this stage the exact cause of the collision is unknown, however SAPS were on the scene and will investigate further.
