Financial support ‘paws’ in for Amanzimtoti SPCA

The organisation received 157 donations in total and have raised R30,125 so far.

Support has been pouring in for the Amanzimtoti SPCA after its plea for help a few weeks ago.

Currently in a financial crisis, the local animal shelter sees hope on the horizon after the recent help they received.

“We’ve had 157 donations in total and have raised R30,125 so far,” said Amanzimtoti SPCA’s Stacey Wall. “Although that’s really brilliant, we actually had at least 300 people message us for banking details. And most of those 157 people donated more than R30.”

The Amanzimtoti SPCA are extremely grateful for the help it received during such a desperate time. However,  constant support like this is needed throughout the year and for years to come. If you are able to increase the monthly donation from R30 to R50 or R100 a month, the local shelter will see an amazing growth and will be able to complete its projects.

“We are not expecting people to continuously make big donations, we are just asking for a commitment of R30 a month from as many people as possible,” said Stacey. “If people can afford to donate R50 for R100 a month, that is awesome, however they must not feel bad for donating just R30, because every little bit adds up to make a big difference.”

The SPCA assures all who are interested and have helped, that the extra R30,000 raised from the monthly donation this month is the biggest blessing the local shelter could receive.
