Eight hurt as bakkie overturns on Umgababa gravel road

ER24 paramedics found the bakkie lying in the middle of the road

Eight people were injured on Friday morning, 31 March when the bakkie they were travelling in overturned on the Mpfune gravel road in Umgababa.
ER24 paramedics found the bakkie lying in the middle of the road and the occupants seated at the side of the road.
“Paramedics found eight people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate,” said ER24 spokesman, Russel Meiring. “Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported.”
Patients were treated and transported to Prince Mysheni Hospital for further treatment.
It is understood the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn and eject the passengers, however authorities will investigate the incident to confirm all details.
